Kimes Ranch is a Texas based western brand which sells a variety of clothing products. In recent years the company has gained a lot of followers and is a top brand in the western world. The company has done well at establishing a known identity, the longhorn logo is commonly known, the longhorn accentuates the style and propose behind the company's products. It is because of this, as well as high quality materials, that Kimes Ranch has gained a large western follower base. Could this have something to do with their online presence? Let's investigate.

Kimes Ranch does a very good job communicating with its followers and customers through their website. Main features such as sales, company updates, or new/seasonal clothing are on the top of the main page. They do this to draw attention to trending items or exciting deals which encourage shoppers to purchase more goods. Right now, Kimes Ranch is showcasing their Spring Sale.

As a customer's moves downward, continuing their search they are met with the company's newest released jeans and a link to explore the new spring collection of apparel.


Towards the bottom of the page there are many different links to the multiple different social media accounts they run giving customers the ability to follow them on other platforms and stay updated through their social medias and blogs.

Kimes Ranch can be found on the following sites: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and TikTok. In my own research I found Kimes Ranch to excel in their communications within their Instagram account. Below are a few examples of posts the company makes.
As we can see, the company highlights sales and promotional offers, similarly to their website, on social media. They also have an opportunity to support and share news about the livestock and rodeo industries. These interactive posts give the company an easy way to engage with its customers. Returning responses through comments and DM's can be easier than older forms of communication allow.
Overall, I believe that the set-up of both the company's website and Instagram is effective. The sales and interesting portions of the site are the first thing victors see. This is eye-catching and done in this order so that Kimes Ranch can maximize its profits. As jeans are the product this company prides themselves on, it makes sense the new jeans were placed above the spring collection. As for the social media links, there is no reason for those to be at the top of the webpage, having them at the bottom still makes them accessible but out of the way so that people may shop easily.
Improvements
One area I believe the company could improve upon their online communications is their interaction between follower content. They easily could be using reputable influencers within the livestock/rodeo industry to promote their brand. I see a lot of companies doing this but have not seen many videos or partnerships with Kimes Ranch. Using user content when they are wearing/showing off their Kimes Ranch purchases may also help the company gain even more trust within its base. Seeing everyday people enjoying products and using them in real world situations proves just how durable and necessary the brand is.
